Marissa Hartington dreamed of a career in the arts

Growing up in Communist Poland, Marissa Hartington dreamed of a career in the arts, but was persuaded by her father to seek a more practical field. She studied psychology in college, eventually earning a master's degree in clinical psychology. In 1970, she left Poland for the United States where she continued post-graduate courses while working for a psychopharmacology drug research company Michael Kors Classic Outlet. Charmed by a visit to Naples, Florida, Hartington turned her sights to women's apparel, opening a clothing boutique that specialized in hand-selected clothing, shoes and accessories. With her knack to put together personalized outfits for her clients, Hartington's boutique became an unqualified success which led to Hartington opening a 10,000 quare-foot store, Marissa Collections Michael Kors Classic Outlet, in Naple's shopping district.

Thirty-five years later, Hartington operates the store with her husband, Burt, who sees to the business side of the operation, and their son, Jay. Hartington is noted for her ability to help clients achieve a personal style. She has earned accolades from leading fashion editors and collaborates with some of the most famous fashion designers in the world. Hartington has personally trained a loyal staff to follow her example, garnering her store a reputation as the go-to place for individual service and personal styling Michael Kors Classic Outlet. A dozen stylists work online and in the store to help clients find high-end designer and couture women's apparel to meet their fashion needs. Within Hartington's women's apparel store is The Boutique at Marissa Collections, specializing in designer shoes.

The boutique features both contemporary and classic shoes. Other in-store boutiques include special offerings by Michael Kors and Valentino. Oscar de la Renta and Brunello Cucinelli boutiques were added in the fall of 2008. Marissa Collections has been featured in Vogue Michael Kors Classic Outlet, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. Vogue included Marissa Collections in their Top 25 Warm Weather Shopping Destinations list.
